Teeny's beta connects job seekers and volunteers with organisations offering jobs and volunteering opportunities. Job seeker accounts are currently open to people aged 18 and older — we ask for your age at sign-up specifically to check this, and we don't knowingly let anyone under 18 use a job seeker account.
Organisation accounts must provide accurate details about who they are. We review organisations and can mark one Verified, or Suspended if something's wrong — see our Trust & Safety page for how that works.
Teeny is meant to be a safe, honest space to find and offer real opportunities. Our full expectations for behaviour are set out in the Community & Platform Guidelines — by using Teeny, you're agreeing to follow them. In short: be honest, be respectful, and never ask another user for money.
Every listing an organisation posts goes through review before it's shown publicly, and organisation accounts go through their own separate review. We can reject a listing, ask for it to be edited and resubmitted, or suspend an organisation's account — including removing public visibility of listings that were previously approved. More detail is on the Trust & Safety page.
Any logged-in user can report a listing that raises a concern. We review reports and may take action based on them, including rejecting a listing or suspending an organisation. Filing a report doesn't guarantee a particular outcome, but we do read every one.
Reviewing organisations and listings helps us catch obvious problems, but it isn't a background check, and we can't verify every claim an organisation makes. We can't guarantee the outcome, safety, or day-to-day experience of any specific opportunity, and we don't have visibility into conversations or arrangements that happen outside Teeny. This mirrors what's explained in full on our Trust & Safety page — please read it.
You keep ownership of the content you post (like a listing description or your profile bio), but by posting it on Teeny you're giving us permission to display it as part of running the platform — for example, showing your listing to job seekers, or your application to the organisation you applied to.
We can suspend or remove an account that breaks these terms or the Community & Platform Guidelines, particularly for anything involving scams, requests for payment, discrimination, or unsafe behaviour. You're welcome to stop using Teeny and ask us to delete your account at any time — see our Privacy Policy for how.
We may update these terms as Teeny changes, especially as we move from beta towards a fuller launch. We'll update the date at the top of this page when we do.
This section is a deliberately minimal placeholder. Teeny is provided on an "as available" basis during the beta, without guarantees beyond what's described above. Proper disclaimer and limitation-of-liability language, and confirmation of governing law (expected to be South Africa), need to be drafted by a qualified legal professional before this is relied on publicly.
